At intoDNA, we develop STRIDE, the first platform technology for direct detection of DNA damage. It has been successfully used by leading biotech and pharmaceutical companies and renowned academic groups to accelerate their drug development efforts.
We are now looking for a motivated and talented Scientist to enhance our research initiatives.
As a key member of our growing research team, your role will involve leading and participating in various research projects conducted within our lab. Your responsibilities will span the planning and execution of experiments, including cell cultures, development, and implementation of cellular assays, as well as IF or IHC staining. Additionally, you will be tasked with optimizing laboratory protocols, analyzing and interpreting biological results, and presenting findings.

Responsibilities:
●    Plan, lead, and execute laboratory protocol studies, encompassing cell culture, cellular assays, IF, and IHC staining
●    Analyze data, interpret results, summarize findings, and communicate effectively
●    Conduct literature reviews to expand knowledge on ongoing projects and share insights with the team
●    Provide general support within the laboratory, including preparation of supplies
●    Mentor junior team members and identify development opportunities
●    Develop and validate new methods
 

Requirements:
●    MSc or equivalent in a life science subject (e.g., biotechnology or molecular biology)
●    Minimum 2 years of experience leading scientific projects in the life science domain
●    Experience in both research and industrial environments (internships considered)
●    Proficiency in mammalian cell culture and independent experimental work in a laboratory
●    Familiarity with cell and/or tissue-based assays
●    Strong analytical skills, literature search capabilities, and ability to present data to diverse audiences
●    Willingness to learn and adopt new experimental techniques
●    Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English
●    Ability to work collaboratively and independently
●    Effective planning and execution of projects
●    Attention to detail and willingness to go beyond the standard scope of the role

 

Nice to have:
●    Experience with automation of laboratory techniques (assay automation / autostainers of IHC)
●    Experience in oncology, DNA damage response, radiopharmaceuticals, neurodegenerative diseases, or longevity research
●    PhD in a Life Science discipline
●    Familiarity with sample preparation, microscopy imaging, and image analysis
●    Experience handling and processing human-derived clinical samples
