We offer a vibrant, highly collaborative, and stimulating environment for scientific growth. Our well-funded laboratory employs "omics" technologies to understand the bases of cell identity. Our goal is to decipher the molecular mechanisms orchestrating neural cell development and functions. We are particularly interested in the biology of DNA regulatory elements.
We have recently found that the differentiation of pluripotent stem cells is accompanied by a widespread gain of CTCF-CTCF loops and by the increase in the strength of insulators (https://www.cell.com/cell-systems/fulltext/S2405-4712(18)30389-2). The current project is aimed at the identification of the molecular mechanisms controlling this process.
To address this question, the successful candidate will apply state-of-the-art high throughput sequencing-based technologies, including Hi-C, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, and RNA-seq, and CRISPR-Cas9 mediated genome editing.
