A MSc student is sought to work in a young, developing team focused on the regulation of RNA polymerase III transcription and its role in mammalian cell physiology. We are studying the impact of transcriptional misregulation in pathological conditions such as cancer. The current project, funded by the Foundation for Polish Science First TEAM programme, aims to decipher the role of RNA polymerase III in colorectal cancer. We will use genetic, biochemical and genomic approaches to determine how increased RNA polymerase III activity contributes to tumorigenic properties of colorectal cancer cells both in vitro and in vivo.
